Exemplu:
I haven't got a camera. I can't take a photo.
If I had a camera, I'd take a photo.

Rezolvare:
1. We haven't got separate bedrooms. My sister and I argue all the time.
If we had got separate bedrooms, we wouldn't argue all the time.
2. I'm in a hurry. I won't stay for a meal.
If I weren't in a hurry, I would stay for a meal.
3. It's raining. I won't go for a jog.
If it weren't raining, I would go for a jog.
4. He sits around all day. He isn't very fit.
If he didn't sit around all day, he'd be very fit.

Regula a 2-a pentru if clauses (propozițiile subordonate condiționale):
IF + forma de Past Tense //(1) forma de Present Conditional //(2)
If I had enough money //(1) I would buy a new electrical guitar. //(2)
