Adjectivele monosilabice si cele bisilabice pronuntate scurt formeaza comparativul adaugand terminatia "er" adjectivului, si superlativ adaugand terminatia "est" adjectivul, iar adjectul se articuleaza cu art hot.
Adjectivele monsilabice scurte dubleaza consoana finala.
Adjectivele terminate in "y" precedant de consoana il vor transforma in "i"
Adjectivele terminate in "e" il pierd inaintea terminatiilor "er" si "est".

happy - happier - the happiest
nice - nicer - the nicest
hot - hotter - the hottest
Adjectivele bisilabice care se pronunta lung si cele plurisilabice vor primi la comparative "more" inaintea adjectivului si la superlativ "the most" inaintea adjectivului.

modern - more modern - the most modern
