There are many wonderful places of
interest in Moldova.
The Curchi Monastery is a monk monastery and it is situated in Orhei. It was
built in 1773 by founder Iordache Curchi. National Museum of History is
situated in Chisinau, Moldova
and it was established in December 21, 1983. In the museum yard there is the Capitoline Wolf, the copy of the one in Rome. Căpriana Monastery is situated in Căpriana, Moldova, located 40 km north-west of Moldova. It was
founded in 1429 by Moldavian Prince Stephen the Great. The Triumphal Arch is a monument
situated in Central Chişinău on Piața Marii Adunǎri Naționale. It was built in 1840 by the architect Luca Zauschevic. Royal Forest
Reserve is a scientific reserve in Gloden
District, Moldova,
and was founded in 1993. It covers an area of 6,032 hectares, the
largest of all of the scientific reserves.
Ştefan cel Mare Central
Park is the main
park in Central Chişinău, formerly known as Pushkin Park. It is the oldest park in Moldova
and spans about 7
hectares and it was created in 1818. The park contains 50
species of trees, some of which are quite old, the mulberries
and acacias
being between 130 and 180 years.
