The lion is a feline. Known as the king of the jungle, is one of the most feared predators in Africa. His eye sight is very sharp. Just like cats,lions can see well in the dark. They're also considered as "janitors" of the desert because they feed on animal carcasses. Lions live in groups,usually formed by one male and 4-6 females. They hunt in groups,prefferably at night. In daytime they like to relax in the shadow. They are very clever hunters:in hunting,most of the times they use ambush. The male lion is the head of the group, he is the one that eats first,despite that females are the ones that hunt down the prey.
