Kelly froze the shattered glass had cracked under her shoe. She took another step hardly daring to exit out. Somthing was there, in that room. She felt it.
Everything started a week ago. The children in the 5th grade were in the classroom and were writing an essay. After a few minutes, there was a strange noise in the hallway. The children were busy with their essays and could hardly hear what was happening in the hallway. But Kelly, who had come just a few minutes before, heard everything clearly. The air draught howled from one end to the other and the door rattled in the next classroom. Kelly thought, ”Maybe a teacher has left the door open and the wind makes it rattle like that”. She was no longer preoccupied with the essay, but more interested in what was going on out there in the hallway. Kelly raised her hand and the teacher called her: ”Mrs. Grau, can I quickly go outside and see what is happening?” asked Kelly with a very soft voice. ”No”, shouted the teacher, ”you must finish your essay, not go spying”. ”Of course, Mrs. Grau”, muttered Kelly and started to write his essay. Suddenly, the whole school began to quake and the objects to shake: the cabinets and the drawers were thrown over, the window rattled, the walls cracked, the lamp shook, the papers howled, and the door squeaked! ”Do not panic, we need to get out as fast as we can. Quick, two by two next to the door!”, cried Mrs. Grau. Lately, Kelly had read many books about ghosts, skeletons and other things, so she thought that there was a ghost that got in. All the children became pale and their hearts were beating fast Suddenly they heard a few windows that fell on the floor and broke into small pieces. After a few minutes they were able to get out of the room. They ran down the hallway like crazy and rushed the stairs. At last, they were in the schoolyard. All the children wanted to know what had happened. Maybe It was a ghost?
