La trecut, vei pune forma verbului la trecut (regulate: -ed la sfârşit, precum gathered, iar la neregulate pui forma respectiva, precum break(prezent) -> broke(trecut) )
La negativ trebuie să foloseşti did urmat de verb la prezent.
He woke up at seven yesterday. (El s-a trezit la şapte ieri)
He didn't wake up at seven yesterday. (El nu s-a trezit la şapte ieri)
Did he wake up at seven yesterday? (S-a trezit la şapte ieri?)
She made plans for the next month. (Şi-a făcut planuri pentru viitoarea lună)
She didn't make plans for the next month.
Did she make plans for the next month?
I saw you staring at her. (Te-am văzut uitându-te la ea)
I didn't see you staring at her.
Did I see you staring at her?
He was embarrassed about this. (Era ruşinat de asta)
