You are studying English at a private language school attended by many international students. You are planning a surprise birthday party for a friend who has been feeling particularly sad and homesick. Write to another classmate and invite him/her to the party. In your letter:
-explain the reason for the party
-give the date and time of the party
-suggest what the classmate could bring to the party

Hi, Bob
I'm writing you to inform you about the party I have planned for Clara. As you know, or you might not know that is her birthday on december the 10th. I tought it would be cool for us to throw a birthday party. A surprise birthday party!
The location that I tought about it would be the best is actually her own home. Having her finishing the school and with us expecting her at her house when her classes are over is the best idea I have ever had.
You can bring her a present if you want to but I don't think it's necessary because I've made her a birthday cake.
So, I'm looking forward to seeing you there. Don't forget! december the 10th, 13 P.M
