A pleasant surprise
It was the last day of the winter holiday and I wasn't expecting anything interesting to happen. It was too cold to go outside and play, so I was stuck in the house, wrapped up in blankets, drinking hot cocoa and reading a book. I admit it, it wasn't unpleasant, but I really wanted to hang out with some friends. My parents weren't home, so I was home alone and slowly getting more bored. After I finished the book, I called some friends and asked them if they wanted to come over and watch a movie, but no one answered. It started to get dark, and I was getting horrified at the fact that I have to go to school tomorrow. My eyes were slowly closing and I fell asleep. I had a dream where I was playing with a puppy in the snow. Suddenly, there was some random ringing in the background. I figured it was the doorbell, so I woke up to check who was at the door. I opened it, and my parents walked in with a present neatly wrapped in wrapping paper, and tied nicely with a bow. I was told that this was a present of me. I tore the package, and was shocked to see a puppy playfully barking at me. I was so happy! This was the best day of my life!
