I believe that the given quote is strongly related to the saying "Our future is in our hands". Both mean that we are responsible for our fate and that we should think twice when we take decisions that may involve other people's life. But how can we do so if we don't have an education? How can we rethink our ideas if they're the best we have? Yet there is nothing that could stop us from learning and teaching others so why not give it a try? All we need is self-motivation and a bit of courage. We could change the world if we want to. And the worst case would be having a higher knowledge which, from my point of view, could not lead to anything but the better.
