Paragraph 1: Start the letter
-Thank you friend for his/ her last letter.
-Apologise for not writing back sooner.
-Explain briefly why you haven't written.

Paragraph 2:Give news and information
-Give current news about yourself.
-Mention your Family and friends

Paragraph 3: Ask for news
-Ask how your friend is getting on.
-Ask about your friend's family and any other friends you both know.

Paragraph 4 : End the letter
-Say that you must end the letter and why.
-Give your regards to his/ her parents.
-ask him / her to write soon.

Hello Denise,   Thank you very much for the letter you sent me three weeks ago. It is nice to know that someone is thinking about you. I am really sorry that I did not write you back but I was very busy working on an innovative project. I was so busy in the last days that I barely had time to eat. Think about it! I am developing a new project about the education of children coming from unfortunate families. Other than my project, me and my family are having a great time here, I can say that we almost fully adjusted to this life. How are you and your family? Did you manage to finish the redecoration of your house? How are Michael and Jane? Are they still together? I really miss you guys, all of you. I have to let you go now, because as I sad above, I have a lot of work to do. Give my best to your parents and I hope to hear soon from you.
