Observaţii privind articolul hotărât, articolul nehotărât şi substantivele cu "zero article" (unde nu se pune articol deloc):
- articolul hotărât (the) limitează sensul unui substantiv la un anumit lucru precis, cunoscut vorbitorilor;
- articolul nehotărât (a, an) indică faptul că un substantiv se referă la o idee generală, fără a o identifica cu precizie;
